You probably don’t know this, but the origin story of Future Funders started from its very own discussion, served up around…wait for it…a dinner table. 

Picture this…

Back in January 2021, Will and Danielle Scott were decompressing after another day of #adulting while juggling their newly acquired responsibilities as first-time parents. 

The bathtime and bedtime stories were calling, but they couldn’t stop thinking about their future: 

“What’s important to us and to our family?,” Danielle thought. 

“We’re not just planning our financial future for the two of us anymore,” Will said. 

The more they thought about it, they realized that they weren’t the only families in America—or in the world for that matter—that were having Dinner Table Discussions like these. 

So they did what anyone would do in 2021: Will and Danielle Scott started a newsletter. 

And over the span of our first 32 months of Future Funders, the Scotts had some pretty impressive stats, if we do say so ourselves. 

Will Scott, the first staff writer who ever wrote the Dinner Table Discussions newsletter, and his wife, Danielle (his trusty ideator and copy editor extraordinaire)...

• Created an email community of 44k+ subscribers (and counting)

• Wrote 182 weekly newsletters and never missed a single week in over 3 years of publishing

• Received hundreds of comments + stories from loyal readers and raving fans like YOU

• Consumed approximately 7692347 cups of late night coffee to finalize the newsletter before Monday morning

*takes deep breath*

Yeah…”impressive” might be the biggest understatement of the century, but who’s to say? 

The Future Funders brand became a household name, our audience growth exploded, and Will and Danielle no longer had a “little” newsletter on their hands. 

Not even close. 

It became clear that Dinner Table Discussions had started to bear some incredible fruit, but it was also taking away from Will and Danielle’s family time which is, and always will be, their #1 priority. 

They knew it was time to let someone else take the lead, but they didn’t want to hand over the brand or the keys to the house they’d built together to any old stranger on the internet. 

Will and Danielle wanted the next era of Future Funders to go to someone they could trust to carry the torch: to leave the world a better place than they found it. 

We’re excited to say that we’ve got some BIG upgrades coming to Future Funders and the Dinner Table Discussions newsletter for you this Fall.

First up, you’ll notice a slight shift in our content to feature the best myth busting and storytelling in the personal finance industry. 

No news tickers, Twitter bots, or fearmongering forensics.

Just good ‘ole hard-hitting journalism with a bit of a modern twist. 

Dinner Table Discussions will be your exclusive source for the jaw-droppingly true money-making stories and lessons learned from people who stem from ALL walks of life. 

We’ll feature everyone and everything: from the penny pinchers to the adrenaline junkies and everything in between.

You just haven’t heard of them…until now.
